SKANDIA SONIC ID

Skandia is one of Sweden’s biggest insurance companies, established in 1855. They communicate internationally and have millions of clients.

Skandia asked us to extend their new visual identity with a Sonic Identity. We worked closely with Essen International and the market team at Skandia to carve out Skandia's sonic values and settled on the following words: Human, mature, timeless, and trustworthy.

Our first thought was to use human voices to get a human feel (It might seem simple, but sometimes simplicity is key). Strings were then added to make the music feel mature and timeless, and guitars and drums made it trustworthy.

The brand track was first composed and recorded, and then the sonic logo was a short summary of the brand track and synced to the animated logo.
